The Uptown Neighborhood Initiative (UNI) is a grassroots, non-profit organization whose only focus is to improve the appearance, economy and ambiance of the Uptown District of Corpus Christi. Uptown Neighborhood Initiative is comprised of commercial business owners, residents and other interested parties who reside in the district from Tancahua Street to Port Avenue, along the Leopard, Antelope, and Lipan Street Corridors.
Formed in December, 2009, the group’s goal is to clean up the area, improve the appearance of existing structures, create some excitement and pedestrian traffic…in other words, a place we can be proud to call our neighborhood!
Funded solely by donations from interested citizens, UNI is committed to taking back our neighborhood and making it grow.
